PAUL LEWIS
FOUNDER / PRODUCT LINE MANAGER
I was born and raised in Montana and grew up with a love of the outdoors. I graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Wildlife Management before starting a 20 year career as a Deputy with the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office. There I held a diverse range of leadership roles and worked my way up to be one of the Team Leaders of our multi agency Special Response Team. During my tenure in Law Enforcement I became interested in all the gear we used and often looked for and found functional similarities between the gear I used at work and at play.
I am an avid fly fisherman, hunter, and enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors. In 2009 I ventured into building my own gear and was driven by a passion for designing versatile, user-centric equipment. Today as the founder of FHF Gear, I am still driven by a dedication to empower individuals to customize their gear in a manner that best suits their unique needs. My long term vision is to sustain FHF Gear’s status as a premier innovator and uphold the continued production of high-quality gear crafted in the USA.
JEN LEWIS
CUSTOMER SERVICE/ BRAND MANAGER
I grew up in beautiful South-Western Montana, but have called Bozeman home for nearly 15 years. I love all things outdoors, but have a true love for fly fishing and hiking the Montana mountains with my husband, Paul and our 4 kids.
I came on board with FHF Gear in 2016, packing orders and helping answer emails part time. In late 2017 I was able to commit full time and focus more of my time and energy on FHF Gear's business expansion. Although I have always loved the outdoors and enjoyed various outdoor activities, FHF Gear allowed me to interact with the outdoor community on a much broader, yet more intimate level. The dedication to conservation, ethical hunting, protection of public lands and general appreciation and respect for others shown by our customers and others in the community was overwhelming and exciting.
Additionally, FHF Gear serves a unique audience that includes many outdoorsmen and women that have ties to Law Enforcement and/or Military service. Having spent the majority of my working career within the Courts, Corrections and Law Enforcement fields, FHF Gear has allowed me the ability to continue to interact with, relate to, and support these individuals in a new way.
Currently, I oversee brand operations for FHF Gear while assisting Paul with various manufacturing relationships and tasks that ensure that FHF Gear products remain American Made and meet the high standards our company has for our products and customers.
Nate Mason
Project Lead
Raised a Navy brat, I spent my free time in the woods building forts and catching snakes as we moved around the Country. Upon graduation from College I commissioned into the U.S. Army Infantry, and completed Infantry School, Airborne School, and Ranger School. I spent 15 months overseas as a Mechanized Platoon Leader before transferring to The Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. Between training events I bought a bow, joined the Fort Benning Hunters Facebook Page, and dove into squirrel, hog, deer, and elk hunting.
I joined the FHF Team in August of 2024, immediately following my separation from the Army. As a late onset outdoorsman, serial geardo, and part-time conspiracy theorist, FHF Gear meets the wide array of demands I place on my equipment. In my role as FHF’s Project Lead, I do anything Paul doesn’t have bandwidth for. Hit me up with any questions, gear ideas, or sweet hunting stories you got!
