Welcome to the FHF Gear Field Notes Blog, where you’ll find information dedicated to gear, equipment maintenance, field navigation and everything in between.
In case you’re not familiar with us, Fish Hunt Fight (FHF) Gear is a small Montana-based company that has been making badass gear for badass folks, just like yourself for over a decade. After years of buying high-priced gear that didn’t always fulfill its function, our founder Paul Lewis (retired LEO/SWAT), decided to design and build gear the way it should be- minimal, modular, multi-functional, and tough-as-nails.
With years of tactical and outdoor experience under our belts, it’s safe to say we’re not desk jockeys. We put our gear through its paces to make sure it can take a beating in the most rugged of environments, and still fit comfortably after a week in the backcountry. We value- and make equipment that isn’t over designed or complicated, and firmly believe that our products have to earn their place on our shelves- and in your kit.
To say our team is passionate about the outdoors is an understatement. We hunt, trap, fish, shoot, camp, bike and hike regardless of the weather. We proudly make each of our products in the USA, and support law enforcement and military members. We’re gear junkies, jacks-of-all-trades, and a little old-school which is why we specifically design equipment that can be modified for the task at hand -without you having to spend hard-earned money on a whole new setup.
But, enough about us- we’re here for YOU, and want to ensure your gear needs are met and your questions are answered. FHF Gear Field Notes Blog is one more way for us to share information, problem solve and talk about gear, gadgets, and stuff that makes outdoor pursuits even more enjoyable. We hope you’ll join us!
