FHF Gear, part of the MeatEater Inc. family of companies, is based in Bozeman, Montana (referred to in this Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) as "FHF", "we," "us," "our" or words of similar import). FHF Gear paired the functionality of the hunting and fishing industry with the utility and durability of tactical gear to produce unique and high quality outdoor gear. Using a design that is minimalistic and modular in nature, our products provide the user the freedom to add or eliminate accessories as needed, creating a fully customizable kit for your needs.
Your privacy is important to us and the family of companies. This Privacy Policy describes, among other things, what "Personal Information" we collect about you, how we collect your Personal Information, how we use your Personal Information, including who we disclose it to and why, the measures we take to protect your Personal Information and the choices you may have regarding our use of your Personal Information. The term "Personal Information" is defined below in the section entitled "Personal Information We Collect".
This Privacy Policy covers all of our services where this Privacy Policy is posted or referenced, including our websites, which are currently located at www.fhfgear.com (the “Site”), our newsletter, our catalog, and our customer support services (collectively, and including the features provided by our Site, the “Services”).
Job Applicants and Employees
This Privacy Policy does not apply to our employees or job applicants within the context of their employment or job seeking activities.
Our Services are not directed at children and children are not eligible to use our Services. We do not collect or maintain Personal Information from individuals we actually know are under 18 years of age. If you become aware of any information we collected from individuals under 18 years of age, please contact us as directed below in the Section entitled "How to Contact Us".
We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy carefully and in its entirety. It is important that you understand what Personal Information we collect about you and what we do with that Personal Information. By visiting the Site or otherwise accessing or using any of our Services, or by submitting any of your Personal Information to us by any means, you are telling us that you have read, understand and consent to our privacy practices with respect to your Personal Information and other information we collect about you as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent to these privacy practices, you are not authorized to use any of our Services. If you withdraw your consent after having given it to us, you are not authorized to use it, and you must immediately stop using our Services.
Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time, as described below in the Section entitled "Changes to Our Privacy Policy."
To make it easier for you to review those parts of our Privacy Policy that apply to you or are of interest to you at the time, we have divided this Privacy Policy into the following Sections, any of which you can click on to gain immediate access to that section:
We collect and use Personal Information about you to operate and improve the Site, deliver the Services and carry out the transactions you have requested. These uses may include providing you with more effective customer service; making the Site easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information; performing research and analysis aimed at improving our products, services and technologies; and displaying content and advertising that are customized to your interests and preferences.
We also use Personal Information about you to communicate with you. We may send certain mandatory service communications, such as welcome letters, newsletters, the availability of our catalog, information on technical service issues, and security announcements. We may also contact you to inform you about changes to the Site or changes to any products or services we offer through the Site.
We may also use Personal Information about you to protect or conduct our business and pursue our legitimate business interests, which include to enforce our terms of use and other agreements; to improve the security of our systems and the exercise or defense of legal claims; to comply with privacy laws and other regulations, such as to manage consent requirements; and to comply with our other legal obligations.
We may disclose aggregated, anonymized information about you and our other users, as well as information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.
We do not sell Personal Information about you in the sense of receiving cash for the information. However the definition of the term "sale" in some states is broad enough to include transactions that would constitute a "sale" under state law. For example, if you are a resident of Colorado or Connecticut, our use of cookies and tracking technologies constitutes a "sale" of personal information to third-party advertisers. In addition, California law may find that a "sale" has occurred if legal consideration other than money is exchanged. See discussion below in the Section entitled "Your Privacy Rights - Disclosures For Additional Jurisdictions."
In certain circumstances we share certain Personal Information for a business or other lawful purpose. The following describes some of the more common circumstances where we share your Personal Information:
The security of your Personal Information is important to us. We protect your Personal Information through technical and administrative measures designed to mitigate the risk of unlawful or unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or use of Personal Information about you. We store Personal Information in data servers that are maintained at one or more commercial data centers owned or operated by companies that are regularly engaged in the business of storing personal data in secure settings pursuant to industry standards governing data security and privacy.
The safety and security of your Personal Information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to either of the Site. Any transmission of information, including Personal Information, is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site.
Subject to our legal requirements and legitimate business needs, we strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
We may work with third parties, such as Google Ad Manager, that collect and use information about your website over time and across our Site and non-affiliated websites, including on different devices and browsers. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and other similar technology to collect this information, and use it to infer your interests and deliver relevant advertising to your browser or device, and browsers or devices associated with it. This activity is called interest-based advertising. We do not control such third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way, such as https://adssettings.google.com. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") on the NAI's website as well as members of the Digital Advertising Alliance here.
When you exercise choices through these tools, you will still receive advertising but that advertising may be less relevant to you. After you make your choices, data will no longer be collected from your browser or device for interest-based advertising on that browser or device, or associated browsers or devices. Additionally, data from those associated browsers and devices will not be used for interest-based advertising on the browser or device for which you made your choices. Data may still be collected for other purposes, such as analytics, reporting, and research. If you delete your cookies, or use multiple browsers or devices, you will need to register your opt-out choices again.
Some devices and browsers support a “Do Not Track” (or, DNT) feature, a privacy preference that you can set in certain web browsers, which is intended to be a signal to websites and services that you do not wish to be tracked across different websites or online services you visit. Please note that we cannot control how third party websites or online services you visit through our website respond to Do Not Track signals. Check the privacy policies of those third parties for information on their privacy practices.
We keep Personal Information about you for as long as is necessary to provide the Services to you or to meet the business purpose and need for which it was collected as described in this Privacy Policy or explained at the time we collected the information. This includes maintaining and improving the performance of our Services, keeping our Services secure, and maintaining appropriate business and financial records. Most of our retention periods are determined on the basis of this general rule.
If we process Personal Information on the basis of consent (including consent to extended storage), we store the data for as long as necessary in order to process it according to your consent or until you withdraw your consent.
We also retain and use Personal Information to protect as well as enforce our rights and comply with our legal obligations. Legal requirements (such as record retention requirements or litigation holds) may require us to retain some or all of the Personal Information we hold for a longer period of time even after our business purpose or need expires.

We provide access to these links and services as a convenience and to enhance your experience with our Site and your appreciation of the outdoors. However, providing access to these links and services should not be interpreted as FHF endorsing any third party's products, sites or services. We do not endorse specific third parties or their goods or services, regardless of whether such third parties offer goods or services on our Site. We also do not make any guarantee about the accuracy, content or quality of the information provided by third-party sites, and we assume no responsibility for unintended, objectionable, inaccurate, misleading, or unlawful content that may reside on any third-party site or that may be communicated via any third-party service.
Any relationship between you and such third parties will be governed exclusively by the terms offered by the third party and agreed to by you. If you provide third parties with any Personal Information or other information, their use of such information will be subject to their privacy policies, if any, and will not be governed by this Privacy Policy. In addition, if you accept third-party goods or services advertised on our Site, a third party may be able to determine that you have a relationship with us (e.g., if the offer is made only through our Site). We recommend that you review their privacy policies to learn about their privacy practices, including details on the Personal Information they may collect about you.
For the avoidance of doubt, if we provide links to social media platforms, such as Facebook or YouTube, and you choose to visit those websites through our links, please note that the information you post, transmit or otherwise make available on those websites may be viewed by the general public. We do not control user-posted content on social media homepages and are not responsible for any third-party use of your information that you have posted, transmitted or otherwise made available there.
