FHF GEAR IS A SMALL COMPANY THAT MAKES UNIQUE, HIGH QUALITY GEAR FOR THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY NEED.
At FHF Gear we’ve paired the functionality of the hunting and fishing industry with the utility and durability of tactical gear to produce unique and high quality outdoor gear. Using a design that is minimalistic and modular in nature, our products provide the user the freedom to add or eliminate accessories as needed, creating a fully customizable kit for your needs.
For over a decade, FHF Gear has been proudly made in America and backed by a warranty that exhibits not only our confidence in our product, but our belief in customer service.

Founder / Product Line Manager
Paul Lewis
I was born and raised in Montana and grew up with a love for the outdoors. I graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Wildlife Management before starting a 20-year career as a Deputy with the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office. There, I held a wide range of leadership roles and worked my way up to become one of the Team Leaders of our multi-agency Special Response Team. During my time in law enforcement, I developed an interest in the gear we used and often found functional similarities between the gear I used at work and at play.
I’m an avid fly fisherman and hunter, and I enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors. In 2009, I started building my own gear, driven by a passion for designing versatile, user-focused equipment. Today, as the founder of FHF Gear, I’m still fueled by a commitment to help people customize their gear to fit their unique needs. My long-term vision is to keep FHF Gear at the forefront of innovation and continue producing high-quality gear made right here in the USA.

CUSTOMER SERVICE/ BRAND MANAGER
Jen Lewis
I grew up in beautiful southwestern Montana but have called Bozeman home for nearly 15 years. I love all things outdoors, but I have a true love for fly fishing and hiking the Montana mountains with my husband, Paul, and our four kids.
I came on board with FHF Gear in 2016, packing orders and helping answer emails part-time. By late 2017, I was able to jump in full-time and focus more of my energy on FHF Gear’s business expansion. Although I’ve always loved the outdoors and enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, FHF Gear gave me the opportunity to connect with the outdoor community on a much broader—yet more personal—level. The dedication to conservation, ethical hunting, protection of public lands, and the general appreciation and respect for others shown by our customers and the wider community was both overwhelming and inspiring.
FHF Gear also serves a unique audience, including many outdoorsmen and women with ties to law enforcement and military service. Having spent the bulk of my working life in the courts, corrections, and law enforcement fields, FHF Gear has given me the chance to continue interacting with, relating to, and supporting these individuals in a new way.
These days, I oversee brand operations for FHF Gear while also assisting Paul with various manufacturing relationships and the day-to-day tasks that ensure FHF Gear products stay American-made and live up to the high standards we hold for both our gear and our customers.

Project Lead
Nate Mason
Raised a Navy brat, I spent my free time in the woods building forts and catching snakes as we moved around the country. After graduating from college, I commissioned into the U.S. Army Infantry and completed Infantry School, Airborne School, and Ranger School. I spent 15 months overseas as a Mechanized Platoon Leader before transferring to The Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. Somewhere between training events, I bought a bow, joined the Fort Benning Hunters Facebook page, and dove headfirst into squirrel, hog, deer, and elk hunting.
I joined the FHF team in August of 2024, right after separating from the Army. As a late-onset outdoorsman, serial geardo, and part-time conspiracy theorist, FHF Gear checks all the boxes for the demands I put on my equipment. In my role as FHF’s Project Lead, I do anything Paul doesn’t have the bandwidth for. Hit me up with any questions, gear ideas, or sweet hunting stories you’ve got!
