The Service Model Bino Harness was originally designed with military and tactical operators in mind and underwent 12+ months of intense field testing with some of the best Special Forces teams around. Like all FHF Gear products, the design is sleek and minimal with a focus on modularity, customization, and overall strength and durability. Although the Service Model Bino Harness was built specifically for a Porro Prism binocular, it can still be used for many roof prism optics (see additional info below). The Service Model Bino is currently offered as an optic-specific system in two sizes:

  • The Standard Service Model will fit the Steiner M830r, or Porro prism binos measuring 5.1 x 6.7 x 2.8. (in H/W/D).
  • The Wide Service Model will fit the Steiner M750r, or Porro prism binos measuring 5.5 x 8.1 x 3.0 (in H/W/D).

Additional Information:

  • The Standard Service Model will also accommodate select roof prism optics that do not exceed a 6” height measurement (most 8x and 10x42 optics with exception of Vortex crossfires). Based on the wider design of the optics pouch, roof prism optics can be stored in the pouch fully flexed, at maximum eyepiece pupillary distance.
  • As an alternative closure system, you can pair the Service Model Bino with our Buckle Strap (sold separately) or swap between the two. Using the buckle strap does not require any permanent modifications to the product in any way.

  • Low-profile design
  • Water resistant, laminated nylon exterior
  • Sleek, tactically influenced design
  • Multiple MOLLE attachment points
  • Loop Velcro real estate on the lid (ideal for a name tape or company patch)
  • Easy access pen or penlight tunnel
  • Shoulder harness equipped with quick detach buckles at all 4 points
  • Tegris hook system is impact resistant
  • Fixed bungee closure provides the user a quiet, one-handed operation
  • Webbing loops on the underside of the pouch allow the attachment of our MOLLE Muff in cold weather environments

Nearly perfect

Only complaint is that it was hard at times to get under the tab with the bungee loop when closing with one hand - sometimes just had to go ahead and use two hands. Other than that it's great.

Best gift for my brother

Bought this for my brother's service binos and he was blown away. He had never been able to find a harness that fit his porro prism binos. Great product and really love the quality construction and materials.

Fits stiener MM 750 tightly. Solid built. Would recommend.

I'm using this harness to carry a pair of Steiner MM750s. It is a slightly tight fit in the height dimension as they carry, but it does work. Better than any other harness that I've found for big poroprism binos. The construction is very solid. I I tend to get the range finder add on pouch soon.

No

Not my favorite. The main compartment is a little too short and wide and it is not fully closed. The carbon fiber catch is sketchy. Not sure how long it will hold up. A metal hook would have been better. I do like the Mille on the side. Also wish there was a zipper pocket for license and tags.

great harness, but needs mesh side pockets like the pro M

I like this rig, like how quick it is to get flap open. Took a little time with binos sitting in the pouch to get it loosened up. Too bad it doesn't have the mesh side pouches like the pro M, would be nice not to have to add another pouch just to hold wind indicator bottle.
